PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

CHINA (Shenzhen, Dongguan or Guangzhou)

Handle various accounts for International Buyers/Brands for developments of products i.e. Narrow fabric tapes, Silicon Badges, Embroidery Patches, Printed labels, Woven labels, Paper tags, Elastic Tapes, Heat transfer stickers etc. featured in the company portfolio.

Manage development of products from design, to sample production, re-submission if required and final approval Knowledge of weaving, printing is required for the job and knowledge of graphic & product design would be an advantage

Work closely with the internal design and technical team & external suppliers and local Chinese vendors, to ensure products are made to the requisite specifications from the brand and that all aspects of quality are up to the mark. Knowledge of local market and existing relationship with local Chinese suppliers is a pre-requisite for this position.

Be the first checkpoint for sample review and submission, ensure that samples being submitted are 100% OK, so that any rejection isn’t received from end customer. Care must be taken to make improvements internally and maintain a first submission 100% approval rating

Set up & maintain all spread-sheet trackers and hard copy product files for all the brands and styles developed & approved. Ensure proactive communication both internally and externally with buyer to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Participate & manage departmental projects to enhance and continuously improved development process. Any concerns must be highlighted to team leader and all relevant stakeholders, depending on severity of issue, highlight important issues immediately and get CAPA done to understand root cause of the issue.

Follow up a systematic procedure for developing the products for their execution & Co-ordination with respective departments & units as well.

Maintain performance records of the developments done for buyer and customers.

Releasing & maintain hard copy and records of all final approvals of the products for production at plant end, and provide copies to concerned CS and Sales personnel as and when required

Work on projections for forecasted ready stock & raw material maintenance.

Analysis of sample approvals and comments to find out and highlight improvement areas in the operation.
